What should I do before my free consultation?
Please read the entirety of this page so you know what to expect, and please continue reading on my blog if you would like to better understand the services I offer. The majority of this meeting will be about you and your business. I will be listening to your business’s story and your needs, then letting you know the plan and cost of the services that would best suit the needs of your business.
WHAT Will My free consultation look like?
I offer one free consultation that is a 30-minute Zoom Meeting. I ask that all decision makers be present for this meeting, as the pricing could change based on the needs of each decision maker. If the meeting is missed or needs to be rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice, I will need to charge for the next scheduled appointment.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
- A list of goals for your company (long and short term, please!)
- A reason why/how digital marketing fits into your plan for helping you reach these goals
- Questions you need the answers to before working together
- We will have about 5-10 minutes to answer these after we talk about your business needs
- Additional questions will be answered via email
- A list of ways you plan to extend your digital marketing reach; click here for examples
- I like to work with companies that are just as passionate as I am about their success
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
- We will talk about your business and your goals
- Then we will talk about why you want or need digital marketing/SEO
- We will also talk about what you’re looking to get from digital marketing
- I’ll then assess the cost that best aligns with your goals and let you know whether your website is built to help you on this journey to a better web presence
- Near the end of the call, we will have about 5-10 minutes to go over questions

Next Steps
The next step after the Zoom meeting will be asking any additional questions, and confirming your plan selection via email. Once that has been completed, I will send over a few pre-billing forms to fill out. After payment is taken care of, I will ask you to send over admin access to your website and ownership-level authority for Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, and Google Search Console. I have checked, and I do need these levels of access, as I won’t be able to adjust any settings to allow Google to read your website or listing more readily without them. If you also opted for me to run one or more of your social media sites, I will also need admin access to those.
Do You Offer Automatic Payments?
Digital marketing and SEO have a short half-life, and our progress made has a swift drop off after work is halted, so to avoid gaps in coverage compromising your progress, I require automatic payments for ongoing clients. If you opt to include a new website, you will be signed up for automatic payments if you opt to pay over time rather than an upfront payment.
Once your plan and payment is confirmed I will send over a form to sign and will schedule a brief phone call to collect your card details and preferred recurring payment date from day 1-15 of each month. If one isn’t specified, it will be charged on the 1st of the month. Please note, payments are typically run by Quickbooks Monday – Friday, so the monthly recurring date will vary accordingly.
How will you collect my payment information?
I will schedule a brief phone call after your forms are completed. During the call I will collect your card number, expiration date, address, and 3-digit code on the back. On the day your payment is run, you will receive a receipt from Quickbooks via your email to confirm the payment has been received.
What is a billing cycle?
A billing cycle is from the first of the month to the last day of the month. If you decide to cancel digital marketing services you will need to send me an email letting me know you would like to cancel prior to the start of the next billing cycle.
How do I know what work you’ve done?
Not all of the SEO work is immediately apparent to anyone but a search engine, so it is perfectly fine to ask for clarity. I will typically outline what I plan to do for the month, and if you would like me to provide a list of work completed at the end of the month, please let me know at the beginning of the month that you would like me to send over a summary of work done. Not taking time to document each project completed does allow me more time to complete optimizations for you, but I understand reporting can be a necessary part of your journey to understanding what is and isn’t good for your website’s overall health.
I look forward to working with you!
